At Purbrook Junior School, we recognise that Science provides children with a solid understanding of the world around us.
Everything around us is Science. We strive to ensure children are able to understand science, encouraging them to explain what is taking place, make predictions on what might happen and evaluate and analyse their findings of experiments they will have the opportunity to undertake.
During Key Stage Two Science, we feel that it is vital children develop a curiosity for what they can see and take the time to ask questions. Through scientific enquiries, children will be able to observe changes over a set period of time, identify patterns, classify and group specific things, carry out tests that involve making comparisons and use secondary resources and information to research key scientific topics.
