Our Friendship Councillors at Purbrook Junior School are children who have a passion for helping and supporting others. Councillors are Year 6 representatives that ensure that no one is without a friend. They play an active role in supporting children who are lonely on the playground and can be identified by a yellow sash that they wear with pride. Friendship Councillors are also key to promoting anti-bullying here at Purbrook Junior School and coming up with new ideas to make sure we are a happy and collaborative community!

Job Role:

  • Support children on the playground
  • Be a good role model for others
  • Support children across the school who need a friend
